Shakira born on 20 February 1977 (age 36) in Barranquilla, Colombia. She born near the ocean and spent all her Sundays on the ocean and the magical places. She attended La Ensenanza School in Barranquilla. She is an singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer, model , actress and an business woman. She is 1.57 m tall woman and Gerard Pique is her partner. Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is her full name and "Shaki" her nick name. She likes swimming and tennis sports. As she was only 4 years when she wrote her first poem, " La rosa de Cristal" and Shakira began her musical carer at the age of 12 years write her first song at 8 and recorded the most first when she was 13 and captured her fans throughout the Latin America. Her first recording was Donna Summer's Bad Girl. In 2001 Shakira won the world best pop award in Germany.

She named her album "Laundry Service" because she was in love when she released it. Her grandmother taught her Belly Dance with perfect pitch. She was announced as the sexiest woman in the world. Her mother was Spanish & Italian while father was from America. She was only two years old when she was riding a bike and a drunk man hit her and the oldest half-brother died in that accident. Shakira said 'I think my dad is the only Arabic descendent who is an unsuccessful businessman.'  Shakira declared that she was only 12 when she had her first boyfriend and everybody of family know about that. Shakira released her first English album "Laundry Service" in 2001 which quickly gained success in the U.S she had been waiting for. Laundry Service big hit was "Whenever, Whenever" and "Underneath Your Clothes" and sells 200,000 copies in the first week of release. Shakira went for her two new albums release live concerts in 2007 and 2008. In July 2009 " She Wolf" and in 2010 "Waka Waka" was her most hit songs and second one is her official. Shakira created Pies Descalzos Foundation to help children in Colombia. She is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and was honored by the United Nations' International Labor Organization for her philanthrophic efforts in 2010. Shakira lives with her husband and son in Spain.

She was chosen by the Oxford Union and joined the ranks of Albert Einstein, several US Presidents, Mother Teresa, and the Dalai Lama XIV, as a chosen speaker. She was Also awarded a medal by UN International Labor Organization in 2010. US President Barack Obama announced that Shakira was appointed as a member of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics. Shakira was also honored at the Latin Grammys.
