Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (band/musician)

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is a great Pakistani musician at started he was a singer of Qawali and the sufiyaana kalaam. He possed an extraordinary vocal abilities and can perform at high intensity for many hours continue. He is the son of Ustaad Fateh Ali Khan which was also a singer who sings Qawwali and it was their family business for about 600 years. Khan married with his first cousin Naheed which was the Daughter of his uncle Salamat Ali Khan. He has only one Daughter Nida Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
His family basically belongs to Afghanistan but they spend his more life in Pakistan. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan born on 13 October 1948 in the city of Pakistan , Faisalabad and died on 16 August 1997 in London , United Kingdom. He first time performed as he was only 16 years old after the death of his parents traditionally with classical instruments " Haq Ali Ali" which was so hit that with his first performance, earned great fame. He reached out to Western countries and in the United State he performed many time and touches the height of glory. He also performed traditional Qawwali live to Western audiences at several WOMAD world music festivals. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan credited as the great art classical musician in Pakistan and all over the world. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was awarded as ShahenShah-e-Qawali, The Emperor of Qawalli. He was the head of Qawali Party in 1976.He was signed by Oriental Star Agencies, Birmingham, England, in the early 1980s. Khan went on to release movie scores and albums in Europe, India, Japan, Pakistan, and the U.S.A. He engaged in collaborations and experiments with Western artists, becoming a well-known world music artist. He toured extensively, performing in over 40 countries.
Khan was the only son of his parents so his father want to see his son as a Doctor at start because he thinks that Qawali is not an honorable profession in our society and Doctor  has socially high standard. But as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan show his at most intrust in music so his father started to train his son as Classical and Vocalist. During his training his father died in 1964 and Khan's Uncles Mubarak Ali Khan and Salamat Ali Khan takes the responsibility to trained Khan. When his Uncle Mubarak Ali Khan died in 1971 Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Announced as the head of their Qawali family. He was the first qawali singer who broadcast him on Radio. Khan sang in Urdu, Hindi, Persian, Bhraj Basha and Punjabi. He sang internationally in many countries and first time he visit Japan in 1987 on the invitation of Japan Foundation. Khan is widely considered to be the most important qawwal in history. In 1987, Khan received the President of Pakistan’s Award for Pride of Performance for his contribution to Pakistani music.
Khan's musical party was completed with these persons. Khan's first cousin Mujahid Mubarak Ali Khan, His brother Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan, Rehmat Ali, Maqsood Hussain, Khan's Nephew and pupil ,Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Dildar Hussain, Majawar Abbas, Mohammed Iqbal Naqvi, Asad Ali, 
Ghulam Farid, Kaukab Ali and Atta Fareed.
